Chad Randall, COO of IPS Group, agreed with the idea of Jacksonville's trial success and believed public perception showed expectations were met. Randall said around 50 meters were sent to Jacksonville as part of the trial, which IPS Group does with cities all over the country. The meters themselves are free during the process, but other fees were between individual cities and the company, as each is different, he added.

Brian McDermott is urging his Harlequins RL side to forget the past and look to the future as they prepare for their final two games of the Super League season. Despite a horror run of nine defeats in their last ten games, wins against Castleford and Warrington will still see Quins make the end-of-season play-offs. And McDermott reckons that is not beyond his injury-hit side.

Brian McDermott has torn into his misfiring stars after Harlequins RL all but blew their Super League play-off hopes at the weekend. Saturday's turgid, desperate 26-22 Stoop loss to lowly Salford City Reds proved the nadir of a season that has spiralled out of control in recent times. The defeat, Quins' fifth home setback in a row and their eighth defeat in nine games, means the Londoners will probably have to win all three of their remaining games, starting at Hull on Friday night.

We will not make the play-offs playing like that, and in a way I am glad if that is what we are producing.   -Brian McDermott
